5 Years of Redefining Employee Benefits: A Journey of Innovation and Gratitude

Every new year brings a fresh sense of hope and opportunity. As we move into 2024, our fifth year of helping businesses do benefits differently, I am especially excited about what the future holds.

My journey into the world of employee benefits, from an HR Director to an independent benefits broker, has been driven by this same optimism. My enthusiasm for HR and employee benefits has remained constant in my career. It was the opportunity to assist other organizations in navigating the complexities of HR and benefits that ultimately inspired my transition to entrepreneurship.

After fifteen years in corporate HR, I embarked on my own path, providing HR consulting. It wasn’t long before I identified a glaring gap in employee benefits for small businesses. The traditional brokerage model often lacks transparency and operates with misaligned incentives, leaving many business owners in a state of confusion and complacency. Complex jargon and limited guidance further exacerbate the problem, making it challenging for small business owners to navigate the intricacies of employee benefits. Determined to find and offer small business owners a better way, I obtained my broker’s license and entered the benefits brokerage world.

In this new venture, I was fortunate to meet Samir Masic, who shared my passion for innovative healthcare solutions. Samir’s unwavering drive and commitment to creating benefits with a positive community impact have been pivotal in shaping the integrity of Kimmel Benefits+. His meticulous attention to detail and deep commitment to client satisfaction have not only earned accolades from our clients but have also set a high standard for personalized service. For me, Samir’s strategic insight and relentless motivation serve as a daily source of inspiration. Together, our joint dedication to redefining employee benefits has built a strong foundation for our firm.

As we enter our fifth year, I am proud that Kimmel Benefits+ is a testament to a new way of thinking about employee benefits. Our approach focuses on crafting empowering health plans that offer exceptional benefits while simultaneously achieving significant financial savings!

  • We maintain a 100% client retention rate, a clear indicator of the value and satisfaction we bring to our clients.

Our client’s commitment is a testament to the independent health plans we provide and to our personalized service and support that exceed the industry norm.

Looking ahead to 2024, we have set ambitious goals to further our impact:

  • Refining Execution: We are focusing on optimizing and investing in our processes to ensure we consistently deliver exceptional support to our existing clients. This includes streamlining workflows, implementing a new CMS, and fine-tuning our strategies to meet the evolving needs of our clients effectively.
  • Educating and Supporting New Clients: We are scaling up our efforts to educate businesses on the strategies to gain control of their health plans to reduce costs and enhance benefits.
